Sweet Chef

So far i have to give it 5 stars. It's a hidden little place. I only found it because I was going to Hogshead Tavern which is right next door. So, I saw this place which looked like a nice little bakery and stopped in. They don't have a huge assortment of different pastries. It seemed to be just cookies and pies, but they do have a good selection of those things. We got 4 cookie for $5. We got a german, chocolate, a peanut butter chocolate chip, a lemon coconut, and a coconut chocolate chip. Jackie was one of the chef's that came out to help us make our selections. He was super nice and the cookies were awesome. I have not known of any other bakeries and wouldn't have known of this one without stumbling upon it. We will be back for sure. Glad to know about this hidden treasure!

Moist, not to sweet,close to perfection.

Sweet potato pie. Sweet potato pie. Should I say that again? I am now not allowed to visit my aunts in Baltimore without bringing at least one pie.

My neighbor Lou told me about them a year or so ago and I tried one while my aunts were visiting me in New York. That was it, now they are hooked. So am I.

When I show up with only one pie, they are happy but I know darn well they want to have one extra for when I'm gone.

I just had a Coconut Custard pie that I got from Sweet Chef over the weekend at Circle of sisters that I will now stalk the bakery for. It is hard to find anyone in New York to make them and make them good! And Sweet Chef makes them spectacularly! Will definitely be making a trip to the store !!!!

I have only had a great experience with SWEET CHEF, they've even gone out of their way to specially bake me one of their DELICIOUS Chocolate Pecan Pies after they had run out and weren't intending on baking anymore. My entire ("hyper discriminating") family & all of our ("not always easy to please") guests have made SWEET CHEF our new favorite bakery. Little Pie Company's quality and price pale in comparison. Plus the owner's son, Hassan, outdid himself with great customer service after only my first order and before even meeting him. And their peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookies are also spectacular!
