We love Tony, he is so friendly and professional. The food is Amazing! The ambiance needs a little TLC. I would love to hear more traditional music not Julio Iglesias and a little louder, that way the person next to you doesn't hear your conversation and vice versa, and less lighting I think would do the trick.
Yes, the service is a little slow, that is because they are not rushing you out like other restaurants.

This is the best sushi in NJ, I eat here almost every week and have been for the last 10 years. Try the Samba Roll, any curry, A&S roll, Salads anything really...

Amazing flavors and textures. Have eaten in a few sushi restaurants in NJ and NY and no one comes close to Chef Tony. Sushi comets were one of the fantastic dishes making us wish we lived closer to come back more often.

I have been going to Sushi Hanna since I was born, and it has always been my favorite restaurant. I have dined at many other eateries serving Japanese cuisine, and I still find Sushi Hanna to be the best. I have, in fact travelled to the nation of Japan, and spent 3 weeks there eating the greatest sushi and traditional Japanese dishes in the world. Even upon returning home, I still find Sushi Hanna to deliver a Japanese dining experience that is extremely enjoyable and it comes the closest to my escapades in Japan. Do not let the few poor reviews dissuade you, Sushi Hanna is the greatest restaurant in the Montclair area.
To comment on other reviewers, the service at Sushi Hanna is definitely manageable. They are not the fastest restaurant, yet understand that they work out of a very small kitchen space, and the sushi is hand cut and prepared by a sushi chef (the owner) right at the bar. Especially when busy, service can be slow, but the staff never rushes you and they take their time to create wonderful meals. As for one particular reviewer who said that their sashimi was "rancid", they clearly misunderstood. Mackerel (spelled correctly in my review yet incorrectly in the other reviewer's) is a very strong tasting fish, and this was likely interpreted as poor quality. Little did this reviewer know, the stronger the mackerel, the better the quality.
Thus as a long time and dedicated patron of Sushi Hanna, you know that my review is true and accurate in every sense. Go to Sushi Hanna!
