Scammed! This was no misunderstanding, I was flat out lied to.
I brought my car there for an oil change. After looking over my car the mechanic called me over to tell me what he had found and how much it would cost. He told me the oil change was going to cost me $119.00 and the only thing he suggested in addition to the oil change was transmission fluid, that would make the total $138.00. That sounded like a lot to me, I thought maybe I misunderstood, so very clearly I asked him "how much for JUST AN OIL CHANGE?" He clearly answered $119.00 for just an oil change. Well I figured they're over priced, but I needed it, so I said "ok" do the oil and since the transmission is only another 20 something do that too. As I was waiting and he was finishing up with my car, I noticed the sign that says oil change $26.00. I asked the mechanic to clarify for me again how much the oil change was, and how much the transmission fluid was, and he completely flipped flopped and said "$26 for the oil and $119 for the transmission" I kept my cool and debated this with him until the manager came over, then I debated it with the manager for a while but got nowhere. The mechanic "claimed" he never told me the oil costed $119, but he did! Thats why I asked him a second time so I was clear on the price, but he kept denying it. The manager took his side in the end. Had I known the oil was $26.00 and the transmission was $119, I would had never gotten the transmission fluid. They had already done the work at this point and they were not budging one bit. The manager even tried making me feel like a moron by say " who would ever agree to pay $119 for an oil change?". I admit I was very naive, but that does not give them the right to take advantage. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been cheated by them! DONT GO THERE! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF THEY CAN!
