I am so impressed with my recent experience with Hughes Motors Corp. Kevin and his staff are very honest, reliable and affordable. They take their time to explain the situation and answer all your questions. They are great at following up and keeping you updated on the status of your job. They take pride in their work and it shows with the quality of service that they provide. I won't trust anyone else with my car. I am a life-long customer!

Kevin and his team are AMAZING! I've been having my cars serviced there for a a couple of years and I always get top-notch service. They are the most honest mechanics that I've ever come across. They are professional, trustworthy and very reasonable in price. I highly recommend Hughes for all your car service needs, you won't be disappointed!

So I tried to give Kevin a chance based on high review ratings! However he was very rude to the point of walking off while I was trying to ask questions! Highly unprofessional. I will NOT go there again.

I found these guys online. I googled good Audi mechanics and they came on top. Why? because they deserve it. They are very decent, they give honest, great advice, they are efficient and organized, no non-sense and to top it all, excellent at diagnosing/repairing complicated foreign cars. Basically trustworthy, solid, reliable, hard-working, and honest. All what you thought you would never find together in a mechanic shop near NY.

My husband works in France part of the year, and over there, he has a second hand Audi that he bought from a friend. His Audi drives smoother than silk and never ever breaks. All in all, a fun toy for big kids like us. When I changed jobs and needed a car to go to work, knowing absolutely nothing about cars, I let him guide me. He choose of course an Audi, based on how good they are and that they never break down... in Europe when you buy them from an conscientious friend. Plus Germany is next to France so repairs and parts are easier/cheaper to get.

It was a beautiful Audi, an A6 from 2003 and it was a lemon with very little juice left in it. I loved the smooth motor, the power, the steering, the AWD/FWD (which one is it?) that would get me out of piles of snow like it was nothing. My husband and I where excited and very pleased and hopity-hopity-hop, each one went to work on our separate ways, he took a plane to France for a few months, I took the Audi to work.

There was smoke coming out of the motor and suddenly the car stopped and I had to call AAA. The mechanics (which shall-not-be-named-here) where very nice, and seemed trustworthy to me. The car would´t move. And the repairs started happening, first $750, then $1050, then $3500 (my husband paid this big one as he felt responsible for having chosen the car). And guess what, after more than two months of having the car in and out of the garage and expending the price of the car (not to mention rental car to make it to work), there is still smoke coming out of the motor, which I immediately reported to the shall-not-be-named-here mechanic, who told me that it was just oil that was left and that will just burnt itself out. Really?

The shall-not-be-named mechanic tried. However, being nice but incompetent with Audis turned out to be worst than dealing with unscrupulous mechanics... Or lets leave it at that.

This is when I googled and found Hughes Mechanics Corp. Enter Kevin. Enter Bianca. Enter a mechanic with a great reputation for fixing Audis. They checked my car. They flat out told me, after they had thoroughly inspected it that it was not worth it to repair it. That they could see I had done a lot of work on the car but that they where not even going to give me an estimate since it was not worth it, that it would continue sucking my money and still not run. Full stop.

The truth.

Honesty and excellence are very high on the list of qualities I seek in the people I deal with, either professionally or personally.

When I asked what cars to buy, Kevin gave me really great and precise advice. I also asked where to buy, and while he did not recommend me any particular dealership, he set me on the right direction. And I am going to follow his advice.

To end my story, they did not even charge me the car´s diagnostic (a modest $65 for an Audi). This gift does not change my opinion of their business (it is great), it just gives me the incentive to write about it. It seems too much trouble to get on the internet to review business instead of moving on to the next life task, so I would have kept my good opinion to myself. But without reviews from real customers I could have been still circling around in the foreign-car-repair hell. Uf!

Thank you guys. I will be bringing my next car here. I hope you gain through my recommendation what you did not gain with me!

The very best! I am in Grand Junction, CO looking to buy a vehicle in Yonkers, NY. I contacted Sunoco-Hughes and they were more than willing to conduct the vehicle inspection for me at a very VERY reasonable cost. Kevin, the owner, personally got involved in driving the vehicle, checking its car codes through the computer and contacted me with all the findings from their inspections and checks. Very straightforward, thrust worthy, honest, and fair priced. You wont go wrong going to them and you have the assurance you and your vehicle are in good hands.
