As salaamu alaykum...
I visited this Masjid June 1, 2015 for the Asr prayer. When I entered I gave slaams and no one responded. While waiting for the pray I felt very uneasy and not wanted by the looks and stares I got from the brothers there present. After the prayer, more stares and not even the Imaam him self said a word to me. Everyone huddled amongst themselves and totally ignored my presence. Could it be that I was not one of them? BUT before I left, an African brother came and saw me as they often do with the warmest smile ever that reminded me of the brothers here in Newark. Oh I just remembered, there was a shaykh there that has a school down in the same building the masjid in Newark, Branford Place, is located who I had spoke with who wanted me to secure dawah material for him. HE TOO DID NOTHING BUT STARE AT ME UNTIL WE TOO WENT OFF TO HUDDLE AMONG THE BROTHERS THERE. In Shaa Allaah ta ala I will return to this Masjid and kindly ask Why I was treated so coldly, but in the meantime.....I make dua'a for them all
