Yesterday I went to return a pair of chanel sunglasses that purchased last week from time square location to return. I took my sunglasses out and the manager looked at it to check everything was okay I guess then said I would gladly return this pair but our system has been down for days and I am not sure when it would be fixed so I left. This morning, because I live close by, I went again to see if their system is back which it was. There was a long line and I lined up and waited but a dark skinned female employee told me that she can't do the return for me because I paid partially cash and partially credit for the pair and I need to go to time square location back to do the return. However, Ive always known and even the boucher that you get when you buy sunglasses from sunglass hut says that you can exchange or return in any sunglass hut store within 3 months. So I called the general customer service center and told what happened to me. The agent I was on the line with said I should be able to return the pair in any location as long as I have the original receipt with the sunglasses which I did have. So I went back and now the manager was there but this time I was told that they can't return it because chanel isnt a brand their location carries and that is why they dont accept the return. Now, yesterday when I walked in, he checked my sunglasses and told me they couldn't return it because their system was down. But the real reason was not because they were system was down but rather it was they just didnt want to because not that many of people look for chanel in their store. Not only I wasted my time trying to understand what was really going on in the store but also I was never able to return the pair and I have to take the sunglasses to other location. I was told lies by the manager and the employee and this is like the worst customer service experience Ive ever had from this big store/company like sunglass hut.
PS. When I was there waiting in the line this morning someone walked in to repair his sunglasses and for some reason the employee didnt want to fix his sunglasses as well and I was thinking their service was bad.
