A Union is supposed to protect the work force, not hurt it.
1) Meat cutters get paid less than cashiers in Stop and Shop. After many complaints, Local 464a has not yet to respond.
2) With less pay, you pay more union dues than the regular grocery union. Hmmm.. protect? Protecting the interest of the Union more like it.
So you might say that you pay more dues for better medical coverage. Nope, The union has agreed to pay 1/12 of a high medical bill.
Then they have to nerve to come into the Stop and Shop, come into the deli counter, slap stickers that said, "464a supports health care" and takes a picture, than walks out on the phone, no goodbye, no nothing.
Times are tough and this union is a Scam on many levels. You even have to drive X amount of miles to see there doctors for free. No co-pays for a doctor in your area. The Government should start investigating these guys that drive around in BEAUTIFUL luxury cars, giving very little to the ones they "support".
