Sheryl is great with the haircuts and the color. I've never had any problems and I am quite happy.

I had a bad time with Debbie as well. I had been going to this place for over 25 years back when Jon Rinaldi owned it. Everything was for the most part just fine every time all those years. I moved out of state and when I came back last year I went to the new townhouse now owned by Steve DeLuca. the girl that did my hair was gone so I ended up with Debbie. When I got there I was brought back to get my hair washed. It was done by a young guy who was the absolute worst. He just pulled and pulled and pulled my hair. I asked him repeatedly to stop pulling my hair and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. It was unbelievable. Jon would never have had such a buffoon working there.
When I got to Debbies chair I mentioned it to her and she said, "Well its all a matter of preference." Imagine! So I said, what does that mean, that some people like to get their hair pulled? I told her that was just an idiotic remark. the conversation then went on to other things, all of which she was an expert at. Couldn't tell her anything.
She gave me a so haircut and after a week I had to go back because e it was growing unevenly in the front. I expected it to be fixed at no charge but instead I was charged for a full new haircut.
So I would urge everyone to stay away from that place and If you go defiantly stay away from Debbie. She is a curmudgeon.

I have been going to Steve Deluca's for over 20 years and I have never, and I mean never had a bad haircut or color. Tamara is my stylist and she is consistently on time, professional and friendly and really good at her job. The entire staff is wonderful.

I had a wonderful experience at Steve Deluca's Salon. I was also a walk in and Debbie was my stylist. I am very fussy with my hair because it's very and needs to be styled a certain way. The cut she gave me was AWESOME to say the least, she did a wonderful job, the BEST cut ever and she really took her time to get it right.

It's unfortunate that Dana didn't have a good experience, maybe there was a miscommunication because Debbie definitely did me justice. Debbie can add me to her client list as a dedicated customer. Love that Debbie!!!

i had the worst salon experience of my life today at steve de luca's townhouse in upper montclair.
it was my first--and last--time there. "debbie" took me directly to the shampoo chair, where she chatted with me for exactly one minute about what i wanted. that was the clue i was in the wrong place.
after the wash, she tossed a cape on me that was full of someone else's hair----gross. i almost left then. when i tried to explain more about the cut i wanted, it was clear that she was not in any mood to listen. she abruptly told me they "allow only 30 minutes" for a haircut.
that was the final straw. i politely said "i don't think this is going to work," tipped the shampoo girl, and left.
the good news is that i went directly to vamp, wet hair and all, and got a really fantastic cut from jacqueline. what an afternoon!
