State of New York- East River State Park

Good views but there's not much here really. Gantry State Park in LIC is much nicer and more expensive

Good park with great views. Check out Smorgasburg when its in season. Beware the park workers, couple of idiots riding around in an ATV with nothing better to do than make sure you're not having fun.

New park built on a historic factory site along the river. Not a lot of shade for babies and blankets, but good for older kids, sunbathers and frisbee throwers. Nature lovers might find the term "state park" a misnomer if they are used to more lush, green places. This park is kind of ho-hum in terms of beauty. But history buffs might appreciate it. If you have kids, go to Transmitter Park or the Gantry State Park instead. Playgrounds at those spots are much better and the views of Manhattan are just as good, if not better.

Come here for the best views of Manhattan! Everybody is here to lay out in the sun or relax and enjoy the view, but the best part of the day to visit is dusk, killer views of the sunset!
