The New Jersey State Fair in Augusta is much better than the Meadowlands State Fair. Meadowlands isn't a fair. It is just a high priced carnival with vendors. Your price of admission covers almost nothing so you have to keep paying for lame rides and other weak attractions. I have attended real fairs in other states. This one is poor by comparison.

Crowded and expensive. July 3 fireworks was @11:15 PM....ridiculous ! My kid had to be up late and we got home after midnight...very disappointed.

Went on opening night, very crowded and not as many attractions as one would hope. I am glad we went when admission was only $2 as I wouldve been disappointed if I had to pay full price...also the layout of the carnival is very odd and is the likely culprit of the congestion within the fairgrounds. Poor planning and execution.
