As a graduate (Class of 1965) I have often realized how important the fine education I received at this school was and how it has impacted me each and everyday. As the saying goes "The child is the father of the man." That is particularly true about the effect SPS has had upon me and the others I have met, over the years, who also attended that place. Without exception, no one has ever said a bad thing concerning their years on Bramhall. As a matter of fact, my grandparents insisted that I start school there as they were graduates as well. Even upon moving away, to another parish, during my 2nd grade; I insisted on staying. Thus I walked the entire length of Arlington Ave from Bayview Ave to reach St. Patrick. Of course I now know that was only ~9 blocks but at that time, it was a world apart. During that journey I passed through three other parishes but always knew then as well as now that there was/is/will never be a better place for a child to learn the basics and receive firm moral fiber than via from that school under the leadership of the Sisters of Charity. To enroll your child in the St. Patrick School is something that a parent will never 'learn' to regret as it will only generate smiles and joy for a lifetime.
