I would recommend New Calvary cemetery in LIC over this if you want to visit a cemetery.

It is pretty big and vast... But I would not want this place to be my final resting place.

Many graves are abandonded, forgotten, and not maintained. Others are cracked (I even saw a skeleton through a crack), and some gravestones are either a) tilted or b) broken and fallen over and not fixed. If you try and lift up the fallen over grave stones, a bunch of nasty insects crawl all over!

Also the cemetery has super strict regulations on the decorations for the grave, it's nuts.

I really would not like to be buried here. But you should come and see yourself. The Graves near the entrance look fine but the more you explore, the depressing it gets.

If you want a below average quality final resting place for your loved ones, look no further than St. Michael's Cemetery. Here your loved ones will enjoy eternal rest surrounded by unkempt mountains of garbage, missing trash bins, broken roads and downed tombstones, overgrown weeds and smashed up fencing. And it seems the more remote your area, the progressively worse it gets. Don't worry though, their shiny new mausoleums should buy enough time to distract the casual observer from all these underlying issues.

It's okay but if you want to sell back your funeral plot after oh, at least about nine years they will only give you about 75 percent of what you originally paid for. So please be very cautious with this type of business you are dealing with.

The cemetery is nice, but if you are going to have this be your family member's final resting place be ready for aggravation, frustration and excuses for months and months. You pay, and expect a level of service for what you pay but all you get in return is, "Today we'll take care of your concern." You go back a week later and nothing has been done. You complain again, and again they just tell you what you want to hear to get you out of their hair but nothing is done. I have been dealing with them for over six months and I am still waiting for someone to do something of what I have been asking them to do. I am not asking for something too difficult either it is as simple as "put a marker on my father's grave so my family can find it when they go visit." Apparently even this is too much for them, because I have been asking for this for three months and they still can't do it.
