My wife and I have belonged to St. Luke parish ever since we returned from our honeymoon some 43 years ago. We've been through the building changes mandated post-Vatican II (moving the altar forward), and a couple of other renovations since then-like "punching out" the wall behind the altar for a baptismal fount. Having experienced all of that, and having had our two boys graduate from the school, we consider ourselves to be "St. Luke veterans", and give Msgr. Tosi a "veterans' salute"-and some money, of course, to the Renovation Campaign- for all that he's done for the parish.
Having spent so many years here, we're grateful not only to Monsignor, but to the crew of dedicated lay volunteers who keep the parish alive and vibrant, instead of slowly "fading away" as "veterans" such as we are, either move away or pass away. May God continue to bless all who make St. Luke the great institution that it is!
