St Joseph's Hospital

My girlfriend was sent to this hospital for an appendix surgery. The ER was fantastic but once she was given a room it all went down hill from there. The place is very unorganized and no one is on the same page. The time for assistance is too long and the staff isn't timely when she needed assistance. Not the best place for recovery

Their nurses are very unprofessional. Lucille was incredibly rude to me for no reason. She enjoys bossing people around, not nursing. These people don't care about patients. They would rather argue than do their jobs. If you make any attempt to advocate for yourself they become irate. And they always stick together, even when they know one of them did something wrong. Their worst departments are podiatric surgery and cardiac catherization. Podiatric surgeon Bruce Calligaro is an unskilled surgeon who does not handle crises well. Cardiologist Rex Ghassemi is frequently late. His endless apologies mean nothing. The nurse Karen is incompetent. She knows nothing about HIPAA consent forms and makes no effort to learn. The nurse receptionist can barely speak English. Her grammar was atrocious. She kept repeating "I can't tell you nothing". She was completely wrong because the appropriate consent forms had been signed. I encountered only two competent people at this hospital. One was a nun and the other was a volunteer.

I do not know how this hospital is still running and seeing patients. The bedside manner is horrific,the wait time even on a slow day is super long. Unprofessional staff and medical providers.

Nothing horrible will never return again I never say never in this case never. Waited three hours not a lot of patients in the ER left in room 15 for 60 minutes not attentive at all. I let the staff no I needed to leave had to go home to take care of my child. As I was leaving the discharger gave me papers saying I was seen & I wasn't I didn't feel comfortable signing so he tried to snatch the papers out of my hand just rude.

Stay away!!! Place is like romper room with adults. Nobody has any clue about adults or children when it comes to being sick. Place should be torn down or revamped. EMBARASSING
