Reviews to St. Joseph by the Sea High School
This is by far the stupidest most overrated school in Staten Island , out of the 54 teachers maybe 5 of them genuinely love teaching and love there jobs. This school is ran by people some of the stupidest people known to man. They only are here for your money and will please you any way they can if you spent 800 dollars a month in this school. Most of the teachers are ignorant losers who have nothing else better to do besides making the stupid kids in class feel bad about the grade they have. This school has brought nothing but misery to 80% of the students attending this school. They do not care about anyone or anything but themselves and money. This school has teachers who don't even know what there teacher or even how to teach they abuse there power and what not. When I attended this school most of the kids transferred out because of how much misery it brought to there lives. By all means believe what I am telling you... Thank you.

Hello everyone, I have recently attended Saint Joseph by the Sea and was interested on writing a well needed school review. There are many points that I would like to go over but the first is to not trust that other large review on this page. I recognize the writing and the simple spelling errors that come with writing something fast and not proof reading it. That large review was written by the current principle of the school whom i will not name for his sake, so please do not take that review seriously and please, make the decision to go to sea yourself.
You, the reader, may have heard that Sea has a great warming environment, this is false. The administration, specifically the deans and school heads are cold people who care about nothing more than the dollar bill and how much the school profits. They will never go out of their way for a student and will never offer a helping hand. Some teachers are truly magnificent people, but others do not know the different between their right and left hands. If you were wondering, yes this does effect grades highly. You will not learn much here unless you are lucky enough to have a select few teachers. Unfortunately, these teachers are leaving faster than iphone 5's left the shelves upon their releases.
College is a nightmare. Although I am able to formulate a paper well, the admission process was rigorous and much more difficult than that my friends went through in their respective schools. Most of my credits were accepted so that is a plus, but I will tell you that it was not easy to get them that way.

I am a recent graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea High School. Words can not describe how much I loved Sea and how very much I miss it now that I am in college. I was lucky enough to attend high school on a full scholarship, which placed me in the honors program for the duration of my high school career. The classed challenged me academically and intellectually to expand my understanding of the world in which I live and instilled in me a sense of duty to use my gifts to make it better better place. This understanding is not something I found in a book, it is something I was taught by the amazing faculty, staff and administration, who teach with passion and foster Catholic values by the example of how they live their lives and treat their students. Inside the classroom or moderating extra curricular activities, you will never meet a more compassionate and dedicated group of people whose man goal is the success and well being of their students. In following their example, the students themselves are generous and, if asked, almost always ready to lend a helping hand to a classmate in any way they can. Although, I've so far made the school sound like a warm and fuzzy environment, this does not mean that students don't have to work very hard to succeed in Sea. I would say without hesitation that Sea is the premier Catholic High School on Staten Island and arguably the best all around high school on the Island, but that last part may be slightly biased. If asked, I would tell any 8th grader interested in working diligently to achieve their goals, taking advantage of a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, and being a part of a thriving, close-knit community that Sea is the place to be. There you will find great friends, great teachers and a great overall familial feeling that remains with you long after you graduate. If you are willing to work, apply to Sea and you will not be disappointed. Parents,if you would like to see your children challenged to be spiritually, academically, and socially then encourage them to apply Sea so that their futures will be in safe and capable hands. Hope this was helpful.
