It's really boring here, if you're not on the clark side your room is small basically .. only good thing is that there is a bathroom in the dorms

A reliable source, namely my mother, relates a few interesting facts about this hotel.
In its heyday the hotel was famous for its beautiful ballroom where many formal dance events took place. There was a huge indoor swimming pool with "smoked glass" windows around it. The pool was very popular for recreation among young people in the 1940"s. There was a lovely restaurant at that time and many New York notables could be found there in the evenings.
Based on her recollections of her wedding at the Hotel St. George in 1944 I will plan to visit the location to gather information and impressions in the near future. Apparently this building has been named as a historic landmark for very good reasons. If others who read this have relatives who recall its earlier days, why not add a few notes? The Wikipedia entry seems in need of information.

The reason you were hung up on is because it is no longer a hotel. They are now apartment buildings and Student Residence halls. The name is still Hotel St. George because it has been classified a historic building and you can not change the outside of it per Brooklyn Heights Historic Committee.
