Saint Anthony's Church is a small church ran by a genuinely sincere and caring Pastor. I cannot say enough about how genuine Father Joe is and how he truly cares about his Parishioners. When he learned of my Father's cancer a few years back, he consistently asked him how he was doing and prayed with him. During the last two months of my Dad's battle, when Father Joe learned that he was in the hospital, he visited him in the hospital. We never had to ask. He simply went. When I visited my Dad that day, my Dad told me he was touched that Father Joe called him Friend. This meant the world to my Dad and I will never forget this simple act of kindness. I share this story because sometimes, the little acts of kindness is all we need to draw closer to God.

Father Joe is a reflection of the warmth and kindness that we look for in our Church. if you are looking for a parish, come and visit this humble church.

I came to St. Anthony's because it is where my heritage started. Now, I couldn't, wouldn't ever leave because the minute I walked in I felt welcome.It was instant love for a church so richly immersed in Jersey City history. A Pastor, Father Joseph, so kind and caring, who has restored St, Anthony's interior back to it's original beauty and is working on the exterior. Friendly Parishioners. Masses in English and Polish. I found my faith again thanks to St. Anthony's, it is everything a Church should be. God, I love this place!

I've now been going to St. Anthony's of Padua for over 6 years in Jersey City. Not only is it one of the most beautiful churches that I've ever been in but the congregation is so friendly and welcoming. Our pastor, Father Joseph Urban is one of the kindest of men and has done an incredible job as our priest to restore the church to it's full glory! Masses are offered in both English and Polish. Going to church there is like going to a Basilica and the music ministry is incredible!
