Awful service at 864 Utica Avenue:
On November 1, 2011, I visited Wireless Ritz (a 3rd party Sprint Store) located at 864 Utica Avenue and asked for a replacement headset for the Epic smart phone. Instead I was sold a Blackberry headset for $19.99; this same headset is given away for free at the Corporate Stores. On November 3, 2011, I visited the Kings Plaza Sprint Store a “Corporate” store; the Rep there confirmed that the headset I was sold at Wireless Ritz is a free Blackberry headset. Before leaving I asked for a replacement headset for the Epic. I was informed that there were no replacement headsets in stock for the Epic and so I purchased a headphone there for $49.99.
On Friday, November 4, 2011, I returned to Wireless Ritz to return the free Blackberry headset that I was sold for $19.99. I was informed that I could only get a store credit. I informed the Store Manager that I did not want to conduct any further business with their store and that a store credit would mean that I would have to do just that; I informed the Store Manager that I was requesting a refund. I also informed the Store Manager that I had already purchased another headphone at the Kings Plaza location. In the interim I was belittled by a Sales Rep in the store. I was told that if I had a better attitude that the Store Manager would have given me a refund. In response to me stating that I had a Taxi waiting for me because I was heading to work I was told by the same Sales Representative to buck up and get to work because she was at her job.
The Store Manager called the District Manager who informed her that she could not offer a refund.
If the equipment that I was sold was an approved headset for the Epic then an exchange or a store credit would have been fine. However, the fact that I was sold a Blackberry headset that is not approved for the Epic and that is given away for free at their “Corporate” office is offensive. If I was informed by the Sales Rep that Wireless Ritz did not have a replacement headset for the Epic I would have left the store and would have visited the Kings Plaza store without making s purchase; instead I was deceived into spending $19.99 at Wireless Ritz with their knowledge that they would do nothing to refund my money.
