Spot Hostels

I have worked and played in this neighborhood for many many years. There is a visitor review in this pile somewhere, which is making things sound worse than they are. I believe to remember that these incidents were an out of the ordinary event. This is New York City. People are victims of crime every day and I hate to break it to you but one is much more likely to be robbed downtown. So, just make sure you watch your wallets, bookbags, and ipods when you're in the train. New York is also full of nice and helpful people who love visitors. :) My mom (visiting from Austria) was trooping all through Harlem and the Bronx (could not have looked more like a tourist) and only encountered helpful New Yorkers. That is what travel life brings, my friend. You never know what you get. That is the fun of it, too. :) -- The Fifth Avenue Spot is a nice and upcoming hostel with sweet staff and a great manager who puts a lot of work into it.
