I have used Specialty Photographic Repair in Pelham, NY for many years. As a professional real estate photographer I do not want to be without any equipment for any length of time. I found Jay to be both professional in his dealings with people and an expert in camera repair. All repair work was done while I waited or overnight. Also, I feel his pricing is very reasonable. I have brought in a number of different cameras with various items needing repair, each was done once and done right. I never had to bring back a camera for a second repair of the same issue. Thanks Jay!
I will now be sending my cameras in need of repair from my new location in Florida to Jay.

Had a 45-year-old 35mm SLR that my daughter wanted to use in a photography class but the the battery compartment had a broken contact. My local camera shop refused to look at it ("only digital cameras") but suggested I try this firm. The camera was repaired, re-lubricated, the shutter timing corrected, and was ready in less than a week for approx. $150. Four months later the mirror locked up and I brought it back in. It was repaired, and the probable cause for the lockup explained, and I was out of there with the camera in about 30 minutes ($20).
Overall, I found the service prompt, very professional, and very reasonably priced.

I had a persistent dust on my Nikon SLR sensor. He repaired in 10 minutes while I was waiting. And he told me how to avoid further introduction of dusts in the system. It is a small shop, but they had professional equipments as well as knowledge of how cameras work. Great repair shop. If you are in Westchester, this shop is the only solution. Highly recommended.
