SpanishBlackbelt

i have taken two levels of Spanish Blackbelt in the last two months - yellow and orange. I had a wonderful tutor, Mariana, who was patient and encouraging. We met twice a week first in person and subsequently over Skype. She was patient, interested in what I did both professionally and personally and adjusted her conversations with me to talk about what relevant to me. In addition to the course materials, she always had ideas about how i could improve and practice my Spanish outside of the course materials. She will be having a baby shortly so I will change tutors for a while. I have decided for the time being to switch from two sessions a week (finishing a level in a month) to once a week so i will spend the extra time with extra-curricular activities (Spanish movies?).

I really enjoyed studying with spanishblackbelt and will be taking more courses with them in the future. My private classes with Maria Elena were very intense, challenging and interesting. I like the skype option which allows me to take classes at home and save time. Definitely recommend it.

I just completed level amarillo with tutor Alejandro Nolasco. The course was excellent and enjoyable and I looked forward to attending every week. The tutor was patient, encouraging, supportive, knowledgeable, clear-speaking in Spanish and intelligent. While I was taking this class I was also taking Spanish at Hunter College (2nd year). Since this Blackbelt class was private, I was able to tailor it to my needs and to practice the areas of grammar that I already studied but never used in conversation. At the same time. I was also able to complete the amarillo level. I would recommend this course to students of Spanish.
