Dr Panarello is amazing and so are all the vet techs. This is the sole reason I put up with the horrible attitude from the ladies at the front desk.
One in particular, middle aged women dark brown hard, usually in a ponytail - might just be the nastiest person I've ever encountered, not sure if this is just a personality trait of hers and she doesn't even know she's being so rude and quite frankly just plain mean. I have never had even close to a pleasant experience with her or all of them for that matter and I consider myself a nice person, I am respectful of every one.
God forbid you should ask what you're being charged for.. they get even nastier than usual. Not to mention the only reason I ask now is because they over-charged 2 other times.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. *UNREAL. Never thought I could be treated like this from ANY business. I took my cat here to be treated for diabetes- BIG mistake. I'm in the hole for over $1,500 and my cat is worse than before. Terrible service, horrible attitudes and the vets talk down to you like you are a moron. Very clear *ALL they care about, is the MONEY*. Don't get fooled by their hackneyed expressions of "WE CARE for YOUR ANIMAL" Please...If you work hard for your money and love your pet- not the place for you.. Here’s my story:
It started off bad from the beginning when they never knew who I was when I called and could never find my cats file.. On the first visit they wind up doing all the same tests that were done a week before at another vet clinic- *note: tests, which didn’t need to be done again.. “OH! Well, we lost your file!” , I was told again…. Because that’s an acceptable excuse! So I get nailed for a crazy bill.. Anyway, vet winds up prescribing my cat Humulin N insulin.. The stuff does nothing for his condition. Weeks go by, still doesn’t work. I finally bring him back about a month later… His sugar is very high. So, the vet asks me why he is on Humulin N? I was in actual shock… I slowly explained to her that YOU, NOT ANOTHER VET, PRESCRIBED IT TO ME!” I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out and tell me I got “Punk’D, bra” So, she then prescribes me with Lantus after I say I need something that won’t be too expensive. I was told it was a little more $.. Well they wanted $300 a month for it, when I was paying $30 for the Humulin N… WAIT! It gets better! So, I’m at another vet now and he’s reviewing the cat’s history and says “your cat has a UTI? Do you know about this?” They didn’t mention to me that my cat has a UTI or prescribe me with any antibiotics or medication, despite them having this information in front of their face. Well, Ashton Kutcher never showed up and this place is a joke and should not exist. Clear result of when commercialism meets veterinary medicine- terrible care, unnecessarily drawn out and expensive treatments and underpaid workers. If you love your pet and want to save time, money and aggravation- don’t come here.

A few months ago I wrote a bad review about this place. Although I still think the price they charged me was way to much, I am apologizing for everything I said. They really have some good and honest doctors here and that's all that matters.

Horrible place. Beware when you take your animal there. They'll give you two options. Either put it down or pay out the you know what to get tests done. Disgraceful, only out for money. Had my mother and me in tears for an hour. We decided to take our dog elsewhere and they came to the conclusion the dog was ok with a slight heart murmur. Only paid 65 dollars at the other place. Paid 500 for nothing at south shore. Thank goodness, we took my dog somewhere else or we would've had no choice but to put her down. Now she is lively, happy and healthy. These people should be ashamed. Only in it for the money, not the well being of your animal. DON'T GO HERE.

It's okay but its all about the money. If you pay for a $350.00 sonogram, that is all they will do. They don't even want to give you more than five minutes to talk because you are not paying for an exam also. That is so tacky. I was devasted and this happened twice to me, with my cat and my dog who was diagnosed with cancer.
Like the other VCA's, it's a shame that they are just so expensive. Your typical expensive vet. This is the type of place that is making people broke and causing people to have to give up their pets. No one has a heart anymore. They are very nice and its of course great for an emergency but you better have a good credit card!!!
