South House

Southwest Flavor in Jersey City.
We had dinner at South House and love the experience, the place decor is beautiful, they made it into a mix of art, music and nature. The menus are the faces of Albums that came out from the south, country, soft rock, jazz and others, the wall is full of portraits of music artist, all from the southwest, both dead and alive.

Now on to the food, this is Southwestern restaurant, so the choices here are from the southwest, they have all the typical plates from the area, we had the Chili Pie and the huge Pork Chop that was cooked to perfection, our order came with mashed potatoes.

Service was good, the place is very laid back, modern, it has indoor and outdoor seating, it has two entrances and the atmosphere and crowd was very good, overall loved the experience, I would recommend South House if you're in the area and want to try some southwestern food at a beautiful place, this is it.

Food is so-so at best. Wait people were friendly and attentive but it ridiculously long to get our food. Food so-so at best. Small portions. Jalapeño cornbread way too sweet and almost no jalapeños.

I love this place. The staff are great and the owner David is an awesome guy. Food and drink are both very good. It is definitely one of my usual hangs. With the downstairs rec/game room and bar and the openness of the main level, what's not to love? Rooftop coming soon, but i haven't seen it yet.

The food is amazing, and the cocktails are phenomenal. Last time I went, the food was a little late, and they comped the whole meal plus two rounds of drinks. I can't say enough good stuff about this place.

First off, the decor and vibe of this place is dope! Very ecletic/vintage with a soundtrack to match it. I had chicken and waffles which was damn good! The chicken was actually seasoned well and the waffle was thick and fluffy. I had a 'Manmosa' to drink which is Blue moon, vodka, and orange juice and it was good! I'd recommend this to anyone.
