This place has a very interesting atmosphere. The music was great but was off from the decor. The food was good but over priced. We also had to pay a cake cutting fee. RIDICULOUS to me. But good drinks, good music.
Down stairs turns to into a club.

Fantastic!! Loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. We had the truffle mac and cheese with lobster, and the Essex St burger w/ truffle mac and cheese added... amazing! The staff was super friendly and we had a great time. Definitely go here when in New York!

Awesome spot! The food was great and the music was of the hook. Hip hop music all night. Great place to go with friends, enjoy dinner, listen to good music and maybe get a little dance on as well.

I love going here not only because they make some great cocktails and serve a wonderful menu but they always play great music! Sons of essex has a great prohibition feel and really cool decor. The staff has always been very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. I would suggest making reservations.

Good drink selection and interesting menu. Very pricey for what it is, and music did not fit the atmosphere. Great wait staff, though.
