Craftsmanship:
My only criticism of the finished work is that one of the door latches settled 1/8"-1/4" low after things settled after a week or two. The other is still spot on. Not a big deal and easily corrected, I see how he adjusted it. I'm very critical of all craftsmanship, so to have no complaints really says something.
Materials:
The vinyl fence wasn't the name brand the big companies were using, but seems to be equal quality at least, and carries a lifetime warranty. No noticeable discoloration or fading. It's definitely thick, quality stuff. I've recently realized that the weedwhacker won't even scuff it, which is important for easy lawn edging.
Labor:
As far as the labor, we were also really happy. The crew was awesome and understanding. My fiancee and I bounced back and forth on layout and they put up with us and made experienced suggestions that turned out to be even better. We changed our minds back and forth, which caused a slight day or two delay when we had to order new parts. They remained friendly and professional despite us clearly screwing up the plans.
Cost:
They were 25% less than the next closest bidder. This is probably because they don't have the overhead of big company. There's no receptionist handling calls, salesmen traveling around, etc. The downside is they don't have the manpower of big companies either. The owner(I'm assuming by the name) answers all calls directly, comes for a quote, and is present with a shovel in hand at all jobs. So, he may miss answering a call here and there, but always calls back. They're also not the biggest crew (2 crews, a dozen people total?), so jobs probably take an extra day vs the other companies. We caught them during a rainy month, so things were a week or two behind. I'd imagine so was everyone else as well, so I can't criticize. I can attest that they were working weekends inbetween rain storms to make sure they don't fall too far behind schedule.
Overall, seriously consider them. They're the old school, hard working little guys that takes pride in their work and put their name on it. They're the type of company we need more of.
