Sol Sauna & Spa Massage

Wanted to enjoy the experience of one of these Korean spas but was a little reluctant to try King Sauna because it felt a little intimidating. They are almost all Asian customers and it is so crowded and busy. I was there once and took a quick tour with one of the staff. It was pretty nice and had many good qualities, but I was looking for a more "boutique" feel and Sol Sauna was just what I was looking for. I wanted a place where I could bring my girlfriend that was a little more quiet and private. This was the place. Located on the floor of Rodeo Plaza in Palisades Park it is a peaceful retreat. Not big, but big enough. Not many people, but a few. We enjoyed body scrubs and then we sat in the two different saunas. One was a salt sauna and it was just the two of us which was great. After sweating it up we came out and relaxed for a little while in their comfortable chairs while our masseuses prepared our room. Then we enjoyed a soothing and thorough Swedish and Shiatsu massage. Got all our muscles relaxed and soothed with oils and nice pressure points and then they also did the walk on our backs which felt surprisingly good! They know how to use those little feet! When we were done they gave us some cold water with lemon and we were encouraged to relax and leave at our leisure. They really wanted to ensure our experience was satisfying. Great personal attention. So if you want a place that might not have all the bells and whistles, but what it does have is excellent and private, this is a place I would recommend.

They've remodeled about half year ago and looks clean and neat which I think is important.
I received friendly and great service from staff.
Just terrific massage that relieved my sore back and shoulder muscles (much cheaper and better than my chiropractor; imagine that)!

Terrible. Terrible rude unprofessional staff. I would like just look inside,but rejected. So had to pay for access. When i looked and didnt like, they refused to give my money back. Finally VERY rudely refunded. Its absolutly unacceptable care with customers! Also if you get any service as a massage, be ready give a tip almost 50%.
If you are not korean, avoid this place.
