Excellent meal. I did want to linger over cocktail first though waiter wanted order placed. Nevertheless, excellent meal and I would happily return. Accommodated my vegetarian needs and carnivore husband was happy too.

How's this for irony? It took a French restaurant to perfect the bacon cheeseburger.
I love the taste of bacon, but no matter how much is used, it always defers to the flavors of the beef and cheddar cheese. Not at Soigne. They use a bacon-onion jam preparation which results in the bacon taste being in perfect proportion to the other flavors.
Of course, everything they do is so good, it took me two years of frequenting this restaurant to work my way over to the hamburger. But I'm sure glad I did!
I fell in love with Soigne the first time I went, and ordered to the charcuterie with a fois gras supplement. It arrived beautifully plated with more accompaniments than I could imagine; all of them delicious.
The staff is always gracious and accommodating, no matter how much or how little we order.
For some reason, my bouche has stopped being amused by the elegant cold soup they bring without charge, but this pleases everyone else in my party, who eagerly share mine. The greyere puffs served with the soup let you know that you're in for a rare treat.

- Very Good #24534
Came here for dinner of 4 to celebrate a birthday. It's a corner restaurant in Park Slope. We all decided to try their 4 course chef tasting menu and they let us substitute the pork with their lobster risotto.

1st course was creme fraiche potato puree. It was really good. Tasted like a baked potato, but in puree form. I was quite surprised by the flavor profile from this restaurant from the very first bite.

2nd course was pan roasted diver scallops. We each had 2 pieces of scallops. It was cooked perfectly. Slightly a little raw in the middle. Nothing on the plate tasted burnt at all. I was expecting the scallops to be ruined, but this restaurant continued to impress me.

3rd course was pork belly. Again this dish was cooked perfectly, very tender, not stringy at all. The butternut squash puree, brussel sprout leaves and maple gastrique all melded perfectly together. I didn't think the maple gastrique was too sweet at all.

4th course for dessert was some chocolate brownie cake with coffee ice cream and coffee bean powder. It tasted really good, the coffee bean powder really added an extra dimension to the dessert.

The restaurant was also kind enough to cut our cake for us and even sing for us. The service was excellent. Nothing to complain about there. Bathroom was clean, cute, and smelled good, had potpourri.

I would definitely recommend this place and would come back here again. This is one of those hidden gems (well priced and excellent quality of food).

The food was good and comforting, but not quite the same level as some of the more established restaurants in the neighborhood that fall into the same genre. However, the service was a bit... odd. We were perusing the wine list and the waiter started pushing the mixed drink special. I ordered an appetizer to share and my main course and then he didn't think my wife was going to order an entree.
