Great tofu soup and bbq ribs. The parking lot is very small. During rush hours there may be long wait times. Great for groups.

Excellent sundubu jjigae. The place gets very crowded and parking can be very challenging, but you can normally find parking across the street.

It has only tofu soup and ribs. The tofu soup can be spicy or not and is generally good. The barbeque ribs is just like all Korean barbeque foods - they all taste the same because of the sauce and you can hardly tell whether it's is chicken, beef, or pork. The food itself is four star. But I will give it a the because the price jumped up a lot in the past years and parking is very limited.

So Kong Dong is a local hotspot for some delicious Sundubu Jigae (순두부찌개) a tasty Korean tofu stew that is usually very spicy. This place was featured way back on the 3rd ever episode of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. Not much has changed since, except perhaps the prices.
Order a Kimchi Beef Stew (Very hot, of course) and some BBQ to split, and snack on some delicious Banchan (반찬) while you wait.
Parking is very limited and it can get crowded at times, but if you're in the area, it's worth the trip.

I'm not sure if this is owned by the same people as the people who own the store with the same name in Palisades Park, but this one has a more limited menu and the way they some other things like the fact that they give you one larger bowl of rice for two people instead of the usual two individual bowls and that their galbi is possibly priced higher. If you go to Palisades park and you want soondooboo I would recommend that one or if you need to stay in Fort Lee, BCD is probably a better option
