I needed a new mattress and have passed by this branch for decades now, but never walked in. Most of the staff in the store seemed concentrated on their work and the associate helping us provided options for the type beds my spouse and I were looking for. Besides the first few letdowns, the quality of the beds were relatively impressive, but we soon realized they were pretty pricey. He was informing us about their mattress deals up until my spouse began contemplating getting a full size bed, to which he instantly began spewing out deals for everything from frames and box springs to $140 pillows and $50 sheets. I had told the associate that we would have to make arrangements if we were to get a full bed, our main concern being furniture arrangement or the possibility of having to discard a piece. However he seemed to get ahead of himself and continued telling us about their deals and payment plans, as if we gave him the promise to go strictly Sleepy's shopping. We told him we'd keep our options in mind, implying we would be leaving; we had no intentions of buying immediately. His mood shifted to disappointment and before letting us go, he pulled out his last card: his manager. Even though the manager had informed us more and gave us information on their deals for when we leave, they both wouldn't stop repeating, even after we started to walk away, "Is there any way we can get you to make a deal today??". Suddenly the manager began pressuring me to make a deposit on it. Their argument was that it’s too big of a trip to make again when we live close by, in twenty degree weather when it was fourty-five, and reasoning that they're the mattress professionals which was hard to grasp hearing this from professional looking employees. I had felt before this facade that I was actually going to go home and look at my options, because I'm not looking into mattress options in one store only, and they held a fair advantage with my other options, but after how it felt trying to get out of there as professionally as possible, they lost themselves as an option in my book.
