Sleep Inn Coney Island

PROS - convenient to Coney Island becah and parks, as well as subway station. Excellent breakfast options, but a small breakfast room. Late check in is 7:00am the morning AFTER your anticipated arrival. Staff is friendly. The parking and hotel areas are very secure with cameras and on-site security. The road outside is relatively quiet most of the time!

CONS - 58 rooms, but only 13 parking spaces. When there is no parking, guest park wherever they can in the lot, parking other guests in. The windows open, so there is often the smell of cigarette smoke from outside coming in. As others have commented, the halls often smell of marijuana smoke. The business center is a small desk & chair in the lobby. Rooms are VERY small with oversized furniture; we could not even remove the broken desk chair from under the desk because the bed was too close. Drawers do not fully open.

Rooms are small but nicely decorated, huge tv and comfortable bed, hallway carpet not clean but what do u expect from a busy hotel...breakfast options are good. Good customer service.

I stayed in the hotel on 3/5/16 for one night and it was a very bad experience. Even thought the hotel is supposed to be completely non-smoking, our room stank as an ashtray. The hallway stank with weed. I complained to front desk and they told they do not have any other room to give me and they offered me as a solution an air refresher!!!! Needless to say, air refresher cannot remove the smell of cigarettes! The employee of the hotel told if I want to complain, the manager will be working the next day. However, the next day I found out the manager was off and there was no one who could handle the issue! We paid over hundred fifty dollars to stay in a disguising tiny stinky room. Horrible place, very bad customer service, please avoid!
