the positive reasons greatly out weigh the negatives for playing at skyline....there is a reason players come from other areas to play here......the owners are A plays or better.......they are always there to talk to......the billiard tables are the best.....heated.......other tables include a few tight pockets....bar table.....food and drink bar ........ the table prices are the best anywhere in nyc....the only negative i could think of is walking up to the second floor ......... i came here 3 years ago and never looked back .......joey d .....why the d ........because they say i dump.....but i dont.....just cant play well

It's simple. This is, as far as I know, the only room in all of Brooklyn that has heated billiards tables. It is thus by necessity the only place to go in all of Brooklyn.

This is definitely the best poolhall in Brooklyn that caters specifically to the skilled pool players that know the game and are in need of a place to practice and prepare for any to all upcoming tournaments. They provide the best customer service and repair work via their freelance cue maker Richard. The staff is polite and a pleasure to deal with on a regular basis. Skyline Billiards would be my top recommendation out of all the rooms in the NYC area and as I mentioned earlier, their freelance cue maker Richard currently offers the highest quality workmanship on all necessary repairs for your cues as well as the best yet most affordable custom cues available in todays market!!!!!!!!!!!

- Terrible #29976
The photos on the website had to have been taken the day the place opened -- and at least a decade ago. They are completely misleading. This place is an armpit. There's duct tape on the floors, every stool is on its last leg, extension cords are taped together across the ceiling, and I wouldn't think about ordering any food from the little pit that doubles as a cashier's/ball station. You wanted a glass of wine? It's advertised on the website, but if they have any (which I doubt), it'd be from a box..................................................

In terms of game, they definitely have some serious players here -- with lockers -- and you can become a member for $20. They also have some really nice-looking tables, but chances are YOU won't get to play on one of them. They save those for the regulars. If you've just walked in off the street, they're going to give you a crappy table at the back of the room, where the felt is so dinged up and the table itself is so warped you'll be lucky if you ever hit the ball true. ....................................................................

Now, I just wanted a casual night out playing some eight ball, and I got that, but believe me, I will never go back. The best thing I could have said about this place was, "Well, it looked horrible and I was afraid to go into the bathroom, but at least it was cheap and it was a good table," but I can't even say that......................

All I can say is it's cheap. Oh, and parking sucks.

I will never step near this place again. I had gone recently to check if my recently damaged cue could be repaired. Richard quoted me a price well above the price listed on their website, and was extremely rude to me when I mentioned this. I felt as though be was bothered with me and did not even want my business. He eventually agreed to the listed price after some arguing, and took my cue in the back. I then overheard him mutter a racial slur which was too horrible to repeat here, and I asked for my cue back and stormed out of the shop. What a terrible, discriminating jerk this Richard was. I hope someone does something about his behavior.
