Jersey my 6 years old Shih Tzu now visits nursing homes and hospitals in NJ and one in NY. He brings such joy to everyone there.

When we first started working with Joana we had a very excitable, mouthy, jumpy and untrained dog. Our very emaciated shelter dog was gaining weight fast and unintentionally hurting us every time he got excited. After only one session with Joana we had a dog who knew at least 5 different commands and we were left with a TON of knowledge about training, eating habits, toys, collars, and so on.

Joana left us with a plan - something we could work on and monitor. Even to this day, Joana is the first person we call when we have a dog question. She has helped us find a vet, and was even a major influence on the dietary change that helped our dog's on going stomach issues. We will continue to work with her when needed and I would happily recommend her to anyone with a 4 legged family member."

Better than the Dog Whisperer. Great reliable humane and natural - if you follow through Joana's recommendations - you will achieve 100% success with your dog. I have worked with Joana for years. She has an innate understanding of dogs, which is reinforced with years of experience. She can work with aggression, fear, and many other severe behavior problems. She is very knowledgeable, but we as clients must follow through on what she recommends: there is no magic wand for training a dog. I have been in many of Joana's classes, and the only times when I witnessed "dogs not being comfortable" was when their humans did not listen to what Joana was saying. I highly recommend her!

Joana is by far, the best dog trainer I have ever worked with. I have had dogs my whole life and worked with several different trainers in several different cities. Joana is my favorite. She is so patient and so kind and there just doesn't seem to be anything she doesn't know about dogs!! I have worked with her both individually and in a class setting. In both cases she is always in control and seems to be able to really understand the dogs. She is also amazing with their humans, who often need more training than the dogs! I happen to own a breed of dog that is not easy to train, and yet, my little dog is the picture of excellent dog manners. All of this, I owe to Joana. I highly recommend Sit and Stay.
