I lived 2 years in an old building run by a very nice family. building was always clean, and the tenants were young professionals, small families and tenants who have been there for years. sadly Simply Better took over and everything went down the drain. they remodeled all the vacant apartments, and started taking section 8. now there are drug addicts, large families with 5-7 kids, the front door was ALWAYS broken (due to the drug dealers/addicts), and just weird people who never lived there before. my husband and i moved. it is bringing down the neighborhood which was on an upswing.

They take months in repairing anything and when they do finally send someone, they are unqualified workers and the work that gets done is sloppy to say the least. I know is a hassle but, it looks like the best way to deal with these people would be by calling 311 and requesting an inspection with HPD so they can get the repairs done correctly and on time. Their accounting department is also a Joke. We have paid our rent for every month of this year and have sent them copies of all the cleared checks to prove it and they still claim we owe them money. They are Simply “NOT” Better! And also very rude and condescending people!
