There was no history of heart disease in my family. I did not have high cholesterol and I was not overweight. Why then did I have a 90 percent blockage in my coronary artery? Dr. Shteeerman told me it could have been caused by my neglecting my teeth. It turns out that they are discovering that periodontal disease can cause plaque to form in the arteries when the bacteria lodges their. I had a stent put in there to open it up and the chest pains I was having are completely gone. I am not only watching my diet but I am taking care of my teeth.

Dr. Shteerman prescribed a blood test for cholesterol and triglycerides. He gave me an EKG and fortunately that was normal. He was very concerned with my ratio of HDL to LDL and quickly put me on a program of diet and exercise. In only a few months my cholesterol levels were no longer considered a factor. Plus I felt better than I had in years. All this without any medication. Thanks Dr. Shteerman.

Best Cardiologist in Brooklyn! I recently took my mother to Dr. Shteerman, for a pacemaker check up, she was a new patient and he saw her with no bias. He was very pleasant and courteous. He gave us alot of great information. I am thankful to him as he saw our financial situation and he charged us accordingly.
