Shore View Nursing Home

The staff at Shoreview was fantastic, from the custodial staff to the nursing staff. Everybody greeted my husband and I with a big smile and were most cordial to us. The care provided by the nursing staff and physical therapy department was wonderful. Highly recommend the care.

i want to say that Yulanda was an amazing nurse and she was a pleasure to have as the nurse for my aunt . She always took great care of here . I loved visiting here . The people were also so nice to here , anything we needed they made possible .

When a close family friend fell at home and needed to go to a rehabilitation center after her hip surgery, she chose Shoreview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I didnt know what to expect during my first visit but was pleasantly surprised by the facility.The lobby was welcoming and beautiful. I was invited into the admissions department, which was also beautiful and reminded me of a trendy hotel. The staff gave me an tour of the facility, introducing me to everyone and then took me to the unit to see my friend. My friend was busy enjoying her lunch and even said that the food was delicious. As we started to chat she told me how much she loved going to therapy because it was helping with her hip pain. During my visit, the nurses checked in with my friend several times to make sure all her needs were met. Before leaving, the social worker was able to increase her home aid hours,which made her feel much more comfortable about returning home. While packing her bags, all the nurses hugged and kissed her, urging her to come visit in the future.The level of compassion that the staff brought made my friend feel loved and cared from day one. The attention to detail at this facility cannot be argued – the staff is so dedicated to each patient. If anybody asks if I could recommend a facility, I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to point them in the direction of Shoreview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. You will not be disappointed!!!

My mother, 88 years old, is in the facility at the moment. In general the facility is clean, food and entertainment are good. The nurses and aids are doing their best.
But it looks like the facility is understaffed: often my mother has to wait for help for as long as an hour and when the help finally arrives, the aids, being overwhelmed, are sometimes rude and not caring. Nurses also hardly manage their load and sometime it leads to lapses.
I, personally, had a bad experience with a clerk that is responsible for ordering transportation to go for a follow up appointment with the surgeon who operated on my mother. Nurses missed the fact of the appointment and the clerk did not make sure that transportation was ordered. Having another appointment for my mother I am worried since transportation clerk did not have the updated info.
