Conveniently located in the center of town, but there gas prices are always a little more than other gas stations.
They have a mechanics garage that many people, including myself, go to for oil changes and state inspections.
They are one of the only places that has a free air-pump. very handy.

This place has gotten some really nasty reviews, but please note that they are in the past. I live across the street from this gas station, and started using them for basic maintenance more than three years ago. Now, no one likes paying for car repairs. It's inconvenient and one always thinks the prices are too high. But once, when I had a crisis of faith, I took my aging, limping car (it's a fourteen-year old Camry) to two other places for estimates AND THEY WERE HIGHER. So I've become a convert. Both Billy and Hermann have treated me fairly: that is, when I bring my car in because it's making some horrible noise, they point out where the leak or the defect is, give me a price, tell me approximately how many hours of labor I will be dealing with, and the bill comes out to be reasonably near the estimate. I don't have any complaints, and I think this is an honest business. If you want to protest an hourly labor rate or the cost of an inspection, I empathize: it's expensive to own a car! But you will be guaranteed fair treatment at this Shell. And the employees -- the fellows who fill people's gas tanks, check tires, and do the mechanical work -- have always been polite, which is a big plus to me. P.S. I have spent several thousand dollars on my car (I can show you the bills) and I am no one's brother-in-law. I've written this because it needs to be written.

worst NY state inspection experience in my life: the guy was trying to find every possible way to fail my car so that he can make more money. This includes a very minor issue with my wiper blades, for which i had to pay a whopping $30 to replace while you can buy yourself for 5 bucks. if you want a big rip-off, go there!

My girlfriend stated she had been going there for years, so after her newer jeep started having issues we figured we would bring it to where she's comfortable. I know a good amount about cars etc, so I was there to help her with the situation. We drop off the car for a tune up and an oil change, they call her back hours later saying she needed a new belt, tension-er, water pump, new cooling fan, etc. Over 2 grand in parts and labor all for a misfiring spark plug. Luckily she bought an extended warranty and almost everything they tried to get her for was covered by jeep. They did the work on a Saturday and they are closed Sunday. They never called us to pick up the car, I called them 10 minutes to closing and they said "I got lucky, they were on their way out!" So not only were they going to let the car sit until Monday and were very rude when we told them we didn't want them to do the work, even dismissive when I asked how long do we have before the parts go bad etc, no answers. After we leave, the car was having an issue we had never had before, anytime we put on the air the belt would scream like there is no tomorrow, so loud we couldn't have the air on at all. Once again making us believe there was an issue with the belt. To make a long story short, we got the car to jeep and they told us nothing was wrong with the car at all, the idiots at the station put the belt on backwards and routed it wrong, even after I told them not to touch the belt at all. They mentioned it also looked like it was done on purpose. We needed none of that work done, and we will never go to them for service from now on. I advise everyone else to think twice before ever letting those guys touch your vehicle. I did hear they have new owners, so I assume the new owners maybe want some new revenue, so I am not sure if the mechanics are shady or the owner's are forcing it. Either way, steer clear of this establishment. Thanks,
