Let me update this review by saying there are new management/staff since the original reviews from 4 or 5 years ago..Upon my first impression, within my first 10mins at the Sharkey's office the Secretary, Ms Effie, was super nice. While filling out the paper work to sign up, her boss and the new driving instructor "Rosemary" belittled her right in front of me because she could not get the office router to work. A awesome first impression in front of a new potential customer.
After starting lessons I quickly found the instructor Rosemary was making smart, belittling and sarcastic remarks towards me.Well today in what has become my last lesson with Sharkey's, I encountered yet another unpleasant event from Rosemary. While waiting to start my lesson with Rosemary, she gets diarrhea of the mouth saying "what are you doing waiting on a invitation, get in the car, I'm sure Effie told you i was outside waiting on you." I finally ask her ma'am could you please stop talking to me like that, she then ask me to get out and refused to continue my lessons. Actually this probably was a blessing in disguise before I spent more money for sub-par services. My only advice is to proceed with caution.

Great people and very informative! They're extremely helpful and cater to your needs. I would recommend this place any day.

It doesn't surprise me that one of the commenters here claims to have been taught by an intoxicated driver. One of their drivers ran a red light and hit the side of my head with their bus' mirror and then did not even step out of the bus to see if I was okay. When I tried to get them to pay for my hospital bill, they tried to blame me, A PEDESTRIAN, for the drivers negligence. They didn't even call to see if I was okay or check on how I was doing. These people do not care about anything but saving their own asses and making money. Save your money and go to a better driving school, one that does not employ reckless instructors who will drink and drive or run red lights and carelessly hit people crossing the street. It's a shame these people are still in business.

Save your money and go to another driving school. Complete rip off. The car used for classes and road test is in horrible condition. In the middle of my first driving class, the car just shut down. Happened to me twice on the same day. Driving instructor teaches you to become a pretty reckless driver. On our way to the road test, we almost get into an accident because she was on her phone. When it was my turn for the exam, it turned out sharkeys never confirmed my exam with the dmv and I ended up unable to take it after a 7 week wait. Now I have to wait another 7 weeks. Completely unprofessional. Stay away

awesome driving school, the instructor was spot on the money, explained everything to the last detail, the last comments were 5 to 4 years ago things change and it has changed for the better. passed my cdl bps on the first try easy as pie.
