I recently had a Desk Appearance Ticket for accidentally forgetting to remove a "lethal" object from my bag at JFK Airport. When faced with the possibility of criminal charges from the Port Authority, I immediately did a search for a Criminal Defense Attorney. The Queens Criminal Lawyer that came up was Shalley and Murray and they had a very good explanation of what a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) was and what it meant. I contacted them and Don Murray got back to me promptly. He was very supportive and empathetic to my situation and immediately helped me out by getting my court date moved because the original date was at a time that I was away for work. On the new scheduled date, he met me at the courthouse bright and early and I was the first case to be heard, despite being in a large room of people. Rather than being charged with Possession of a Lethal weapon and having to do community service with the possibility of prison time, he was able to convince the DA and the judge to knock my charges down to "Disorderly Conduct" which was a small fine and no criminal record. While lawyers do cost money, it was well worth the expense I paid not to suffer any permanent legal damage that would be detrimental to my career. I would (and have) highly recommend Don Murray to my friends if they ever find themselves in need of a Criminal Defense Lawyer. He gets results.
