I just love puppies and I can't wait to get one.

These guys definitely use puppy mills... leads to sickly dogs and abused mothers. Buyer beware.

These people sell OVERPRICED and SICK dogs! Then they neglected to explain the entire contract. Now me and my family is screwed out of $1600 and stuck with a sick overpriced doG. Ill take my chances oncraigslist next time.

My family and I stopped in yesterday to look at puppies. While the employees were a bit lacking in information, they were friendly in general. Then…
As we were leaving a man came up to my eight year old son, far too close to him for my comfort, and started to accuse him of taunting the puppies and of saying things like “I can’t wait to get you home and torture you.” My wife and I were in disbelief, to the point where my wife started to laugh thinking this was just some bad joke. But he didn’t let up. We finally walked away, but I decided to go back in the store to warn the workers there to keep this guy out of the store- which is when I found out he is the owner. He came storming back into the store saying “if you have something to say, say it to me.” Which I did.
I don’t know what possibly could have happened. Perhaps another child was saying those things and he confused them with my son? Though I can’t imagine any child doing that. Perhaps he misheard something? My son was, in fact, talking to the puppies through their cages – pretty much saying what you would expect any 8 year old to say to a puppy. I just can’t understand it. The owner mentioned he had videotapes to prove it but of course, upon asking to see them, he backed down.
In any event, please take your business elsewhere. I can’t speak to the quality of the puppies – only to the quality of the owner.

I recently bought a german shepherd puppy from Shake A Paw. Soon after I brought her home she developed pneumonia. I can't blame Shake A Paw for this because she had just arrived at the store from Montana the day before. However, after taking her to the vet on three different occasions, as you can imagine the vet bill became rather expensive. Although, it is state law that they have to reimburse you for the vet bill within the first two weeks, most pet shops would try to find a way out of paying the bill. Shake A Paw was more than happy to foot the hefty bill with no problems. One of the vet visits was after the two week guaranteed period and they footed that bill no problem. I believe they really cared about the welfare of my dog. When she first got sick they offered to pay the bill or take her back for a full refund. The store is really clean, a huge variety of dogs, and has just about every pet supply that exists. The staff are extremely kind, knowledgeable, and were helpful in my time of need. Although my dog became ill, I do not blame shake a paw, but rather thank them for helping me get through this. Some people may blame them because of the belief that the dogs come from puppy mills, I don't not believe this because if it were true, they would've had a German Shepherd in stock much sooner. Even if you believe this, do we just leave dogs from puppy mills to never have homes? Anyway, Thank you Shake A Paw for standing by your product and making my possible nightmare experience into a pleasurable one.
