Yossi is a genius! He is the owner of Shaggy...andwhether you know what you want done to your hair or if you need Yossi to create a hairdo just for you, he is the man to go to...a great stylist.
I have curly hair and my haircuts always look fresh and the hairstyle always goes right into the cut. He also knows the right product for your type of hair.

Shaggy Hair Studio is the best hair salon on the upper east side! Every time I get my hair done at Shaggy people stop me in the streets and ask where I got it done. The staff is professional, nice, exceptional always accommodating and pleasant. Especially Yossi, he does my hair like no other! The quality of hair products is top notch. They get me in and out and always looking fabulous!!

I recently went to Shaggy Hair Studio to get a hair cut. I had not gone to the salon in over 5 years. I was nervous to get my hair cut because I loved my length and it is hard to find a salon that will listen to what I want and have it done correctly.

I got stylist Cielo and explained to her what I was looking for. She was very eager and excited to be the first stylist in five years to cut my hair. I have very dark hair so she recommended that I get lowlights. I also explained that I loved the V shape cut with side layers.

When I got my hair washed, I could tell that it was washed correctly because it felt so clean. I was then taken to the stylist chair and Cielo proceeded to cut my hair. I could tell she knew what she was doing and had listened to everything I had told her. I did have to cut at least 3 inches because of the damage over the years but she managed to keep my length and create the layers that I have wanted for a long time. I love that my lowlights were very subtle because I did not want a drastic color change. I wanted it to look as natural as possible. I do not like a lot of bounce, so after she blow dried my hair I asked her to straighten it with the flat iron. She understood exactly what I was looking for.

After seeing some of the other reviews posted about Cielo, I was shocked to see the negative comments written about her. I find it hard to believe that anyone could be so dissatisfied. I absolutely loved the way my hair came out. I have upload 2 photos of the great job that she did. I think that Cielo is such a great person to be around. She was smiling and seemed very laid back. I would definitely recommend Cielo and the Shaggy Hair Studio.
