Last night in NY. Going there with my partner, we are both 40. The guy at the entrance asks for my ID, which I promptly produce. I am refused admittance because my ID could not be accepted - there was no way of knowing whether I falsified it. Given that I am 40 and from a foreign country, I was at loss: am I a 16 year old boy trying to look older to get in? how could I have entered the US from abroad with my false ID with the sole purpose to get into the bar? talking about stupid people at the door and poor service.
