Costumer service is kind of hit and miss... one day, I was greeted and assisted by two nice and helpful ladies, who helped me find what I wanted. She was very nice and helpful, even offering a free makeover with the products recommended for me based on my description of my problems, style, skin type, etc. without me asking. Efficient and very explanatory, the service was great that day. The next time I went there, I wanted to get color matched to a foundation I was interested in, and I approached two different ladies who were chatting. I waited until their conversation was over before I asked to get color matched, and the lady said that they would be right over to help me. Then, they both went back to chatting about non-work related things,as I quietly waited around for about 10 minutes. The lady who was supposed to help me, went back to the cash register to talk to another employee, and this lasted around another 10 minutes. I remember that at least 7 songs changed before the lady finally approached me, as if she just remembered that I needed help. However, she was brisk and efficient, and quickly helped me find what I needed.
A suggestion: Visit the store when it's less crowded, on a weekday in the late afternoon, because most times, the store is less crowded and you can browse quickly and get assistance when you need it.
The store itself has a variety of products, with one floor total- divided into a large makeup, then a small fragrance section, then a large skincare section. Though they're not as big as other Sephora stores (and they don't offer the full line of color foundations, and etc.), they are still very reliable in terms of product variety.

Went to this location on a weekday and the staff was helpful on recommending new products. She even took the time to show me how to properly use the products. Great customer service

This is one of the better Sephora stores in NYC, as it's a bit off the beaten path and doesn't get nearly as crowded as other locations. They carry all of the same products, although a little bit less than other locations. If you're looking for something hard to find, try Columbus Circle or 34th street instead.

Dropped in here once because my lipstick shade was out EVERYWHERE in the city except this one location. They set it aside for me after I called ahead to confirm. After grabbing that I looked through the extensive selection for a similar shade just in case I needed to switch (had a feeling mine was getting discontinued). Not finding anything, I asked one of the saleswomen: "Are there any lipsticks similar to the shade I'm wearing now?" Without missing a beat, she said, "Is that Kat Von D Rosary?" Wow. She got it in one and was very helpful. Since this is the closest Sephora to me I'll likely be back when I run out again.

Sephora is a great place to find high end cosmetics and skincare that cannot be found at other retailers. This Sephora is spacious but can get very crowded due to its location. Don't expect super attentive customer service as it can get VERY busy in this store, but nevertheless help can be procured when asked.
