Great selection. Great customer service. You'd think a shop with the coolest frames around would have a staff proudly sporting "hipper than thou" attitudes, but NOT SO at the Bleeker Street See! Between my husband, my daughter and myself, I think we tried on every pair of glasses in the place and Pete and Samantha were cool, kind, and very very helpful. We couldn't have felt more welcome. I would say the prices are less than you would expect to find in most places especially considering how stylish and funky they were. Throw in $225 off for 2 pairs, free lenses and the $99 sunglasses sale they had that day, and we wound up purchasing 4 pairs. Shout out to Sean for the friendly and helpful phone call re: delivery. Thumbs up all around.

This place is a ripppp-off. I went there on 12/31 @ 5:00 pm to buy frames/glasses using my insurance company benefits - which would expire that night. I had called and spoke to the Manager at 2pm verifying they accept my insurance. I researched on website and again when I went to the store that frames + lenses cost $159! They have a HUGE sign on their wall.

However, they charged me an additional $99 for lens when processing my claim saying this price did not include insurance holders !!! So with my $130 deductible, they are force-charging / bullying me into paying another $120 to get these glasses (today 1/2/2015) knowing my insurance benefits have ended.

I emailed and again spoke to the Manager and she bullied and threatened to cancel my order if I didn't agree to that price. I told her that no place on the website or wall says 'special' or that 'exclusions apply' - everywhere is the same price so why are they over-charging me. They said $159 is price of frame only or insurance holders ! Additional $99 for lens !

I don't get it. Why as an insurance holder I need to pay more? If the insurance company didn't reimburse them full amount I can understand that, but they are. So, why are they over-charging the customer and because it was 12/31 they are threatening to cancel my order if I don't pay them? Why should I pay $120 when I paid for my benefits all year long for $159 glasses.

Morally this company is corrupt ! The frames are cheap anyways ! Who would pay such amount ! Such dis-grace ! They should honor what they advertise to everyone !

I love this place! The staff is amazing and the prices are just right, but mostly it is just plain cool! I bought two pairs of frames and they were ready within a week. I don't think I will ever go anywhere else.
