Secure Self Storage - Queens (Ridgewood Area)

Where to begin...
The equipment is faulty; the ladders are injuries waiting to happen, the nuts and bolts holding the ladder together are visibly loose, it is unstable and rocks from side to side when standing atop attempting to gain access to the unit.The unit doors are bent, dented and jam constantly. I figured out a trick to getting my unit open and closed effectively yet was afraid every time that I was going to fall over due to the rickety ladder. Other renters also had similar complaints. They advised me on how to open and close it and told me not to "bother" with telling the staff as "they don't do nothing". Encouraging...
Customer service was horrid and at no point in the day was I able to speak with a live person at this location. The general customer service reps were unable to answer my questions, they were also unable to forward me to someone that could. The late fee was also suspicious and will be further looked into- no one was able to explain where that charge came from, how they calculated it, why it was as much as it was. Day 3 -still no answer. Yet, if you do not pay the unexplained charge it impacts your credit. I chose this place because the price seemed affordable- what a joke; they have raised the rate since I began, combined with the mystery extra charges, and the headache associated with the unit itself isn't worth the supposed savings.

This is by far the best storage place I have ever been too.. The staff (Sasha) and the manager ( Diovies) are awesome. I felt comfortable and secure living my things here. They give you there full attention & are very polite. I had quite a few laughs with them. Positive attitudes & very helpful. Great place !! I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I am unable to give this a better review. I have been using this facility for a few years and there have been numerous issues. First there is a lot of problems with the elevator and using a dolly. Also, my rate was raised and I never received notification of this. One more thing, there isn't anywhere that you can throw out or dump empty boxes, etc. When I inquired about this, I was told that I have to take it with me and dump it somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, the workers are very nice, understanding and pleasant and I try not to take out frustrations on them because they are only doing their job. I feel there is a problem with management.

The staff at Secure Self Storage Queens are very helpful and nice. You can borrow a cart from the office (just leave an ID) to move your stuff in and out. The facility has always been clean and even in the middle of summer was nice and cool inside, which is great when you're carrying stuff around. Best part, the Halsey subway stop is directly across the street so storage is accessible even to us no car having Brooklynites!

Secure Self Storage Queens is such a wonderful establishment. With their 24-hour surveillance, I am at ease knowing that my valuables are safe and secure. The staff is always polite and courteous and provide me with reminders when my payments are due. The establishment is always clean and has operation hours that fit my busy schedule. Secure Self Storage Queens is a great facility. I would recommend it to anyone who needs the service!
