Quite frankly I found them all very helpful. I have a really bad eye problem and she corrected it. SHe respects her patients and treats them well. Her staff is very professional and attentive. I also found out that they charge me less than the thief optometrist I had prior to my visit. My contacts are pricey but they are special ones. I honestly believe they are AMAZING. I told her to let me know if she changes offices because I want her to continue being my eye doctor. She loves her job and shows it.

This is a response to the review by Amy Plotkin, which I requested to be removed by Google due to its offensive language and vindictive intent. I have practiced next to Sears Optical in Hackensack NJ as an independent Doctor of Optometry for over 21 years. I have provided comprehensive eyecare to tens of thousands of satisfied patients, some of whom return to see me even after they move out of state and most patients recommend me to their family members, co-workers and friends..
Eye examinations I perform include vision testing, cataract , glaucoma and diabetic eye disease testing, external eye disease treatment as well as high complexity contact lens fitting.
,My fees, both for eye exams and contact lens fitting, are accurately calculated in accordance with vision care insurance policiy fee structure and have been unchanged for over 10 years.Anyone whose vision insurance policy doesn't fully cover contact lens fitting , is asked to pay 90% of premium fitting charge (which are considered all contact lens fits except daily wear single vial yearly lens) in accordance with vision care policy regulation.
If I happen to be outside of my office when a patient arrives, I try to help the optical staff to explain this fee structure.This particular patient, was not willing to pay the appropriate fee, even though I patiently ( and in a friendly manner) explained to her the contact lens fitting fee policies.
This disgrunted patient wrote a deceiving and hateful review , distorting the reality of what happened at my office on that day and what happens in general.

I have been a patient of Dr. Irina Perelman's for 15 years. She's not only extremely professional and talented, but also kind. She makes sure that her patients are comfortable and at ease. I'm extremely shocked to see negative reviews for her and I implore that no one pays them any attention. Dr. Perelman is a great optometrist and I can guarantee that you will have a positive experience with her if and when you come in for an appointment.

I did not interact w/ Dr. Irina. She was on the phone w/ technical service about something that was not working, and kept it erupting the manager who was trying to fit back the lens to my prescription sunglasses.

Davida, the manager, on the other hand was good. She was "matter of factly" at first but realed me in with her easy going & friendly attiude. She went beyond just taking my glasses and sending them out. She fixed my sunglasses, explained my options for replacing my reading pair and kept the cost to a mminimum. I'd go there again... hopefully, not requiring to deal w/ Irina.

I went there also not impress with her quality of testing. I didn't choose a frame from their selection because I brought my own. It was a Goliath 2, I was told their was nothing special about my glasses. They were trying to get me to choose from their selection. I left my priscription there because I had loss all confidence with this place. I'm gonna pick up my proscription and get a second opinion. It seems, everyone had loss the love for their profession. We the consumers pay the price when that happens, we are cheated because they do not perform to the best of their ability. They are now using their profession as a means for survival and nothing more. What is the matter with these people?????
If you have loss the love, move on, instead of making consumers suffer.
