Scarsdale Animal Hospital

We have been going here for several years. Dr. Zelkin has been good with the cats. Our male cat keeps getting into fights with other cats and other animals at night. So we have to bring him in for these wounds. Each time, Dr. Zelkin has done a good job with Siam.

However, on this last visit I was not happy at all. My wife and I were deciding on whether the he should stay in the hospital or come home. He had a drain on his wound and it would be leaking all over the place, so we decided to keep him there until the drain was removed. The receptionist told us it was only $20 a night. That seemed cheap but we were ok with it.

We kept him there until the drain was removed. Which was 3 days.

When we went back to get him, they told us it was $45 a night because it was medical boarding which is more expensive. We said that we were not told that price. They were going to speak to the person that told us $20. Karen or Kathy I believe is her name.

When I went today to have Dr. Zelkin look at him and give him his shots, I was told by (Kathy/Karen) that she was sorry for the miscommunication. She thought he was just boarding but she knew he just had an operation. That is why were were there in the first place. Basically, she gave us the wrong price and won't own up to it. We have spent several thousand dollars there over the years and they will not honor a price that they gave us. That is unacceptable and I will make sure to tell everyone I know and post this on all my social media channels.
