Needs improvement.
Friendly ownership with really good hours. Carries most of the requisite quick stop needs. Some pretty acceptable hot foods and icy cold drinks. Very clean and well maintained establishment. Well lit and not dusty at all. Decent variety, but short on the kosher and international products.
Here's the weakness: Big, Big downer is (even if you live a block away) the REALLY loud traffic this deli is attracting. The ownership doesn't appear to do anything to discourage the drive by shoppers, who either park or idle their cars, to lower their volume at all. And loitering in front of the place, sadly, is becoming more frequent as well.
I have a lot of neighbors who won't shop at this deli and take their business to other shops on the avenue because of this. I haven't done that. Yet. If the ownership makes a concerted effort, it'll make a difference. Business will come, and I'll continue to shop there. I'd really hate to see this place go under. But if they don't sharpen up, their neighborhood customer base is going to take their money elsewhere.
