$40 for a gel manicure is absurd even in NYC. It was a last minute place as I normally go to salon across the street which had a wait so I tried this place out. Took an hour to do the manicure, does not even look that great as she kept saying I had tiny nails and got color everywhere.

It appears there are two Asian middle-aged women who either work there or own the salon. One was extremely dishonest by not telling me the tip was included in the price of the mani/pedi. When I offered her a generous tip of 20%, she of course accepted it. The honest thing to do would have been to say the tip was included. Shopper beware!
