Tried We're just friends. It's great! Tastes clean and tasty. The famous crunchy bread is juicy and soft on one side, which I really liked. They were really generous with their ingredients!

The bread was good, but they skimp on the toppings. I had the #1 and they literally only put a single slice of meat on it. Even if it was parma prosciutto, not worth the $10.00.

Poor service, pricey, AC leaking, ... Too bad the Blue Note is a money making machine, and not the Jazz establishment it used to/should be...
The one star is for the outstanding performance of the band.
Not going back anytime soon, and you shouldn't when you have some many (way better) venues in NYC

Ah...City Winery. Let's take it by categories, shall we?
Location: Easily accessible by cab/subway/car (if you, like me, are B & T trash). Many area restaurants, which may come in handy for a meal comprised of food you have to cut (see Comfort Level). Parking garage around the corner.
Acts: They get great acts; we've seen Matthew Sweet, Ian Hunter, and someone else, I think. Acts you won't see many other places. This makes the comfort issues worth it, barely.
Comfort Level: Here's where CW loses stars. It's a cabaretish venue - intimate. They offer a map for choosing seats, but beware: Tables meant for two are used as four-tops, and jammed together. You'll feel sardine-esque (perhaps with strangers seated beside you). Cutting food's a bit tricky in the close quarters. I know they want as many people as possible, but it's way crowded.
(That said, the staff rearranged the seating when it became clear that I, in my wheelchair, couldn't possibly get to my designated seat. Points for that, and for being generally pleasant).
Food/Drink: I'm not wine-knowledgeable, so I won't even touch that. The appetizers I've had (arancini, frites) are tasty, though the arancini were a smidgen salty. The drinks (soft/mixed) are fine, but mini. Everything's about as pricy as one expects.
Overall: I return because the acts draw me; if I could see them elsewhere, I would. (Unless CW re-did the seating.)
