Sanai's

Went there for a mystery dinner. We had early access. Took us about an hour to get seated. If a peron at the end had to go to the bathroom the whole row had to get up. Ordered a beer,never got it. Never got our dinner till near the end of the show. When we did get it,it was not bad. But the whole experience turned me off. Each person got a seperate bill was hard to figure out. The actors tried to make the best of it. Other review was right go to Applebees then a movie, avoid the agravation.

the ugly experience starting the minute my two girlfriends and I walked in, the music was loud very ghetto, we didn't even get a hello nor welcome but we did get scooped from top to bottom so we proceeded to escort our self over to the dinning room table, we sat there for about a good 15min and no one came over, we got tired of waiting so we decided to leave we got up quietly and started to walk out, as we were leaving the nasty crowd at the bar starting chanting and mocking us, saying things like what's wrong you guys had enough... and so on, very obnoxious!!! . I have never experience such awful treatment at a restaurant in my life. Stay away !!! Far, Far Away!! I just pray that the owner views this review. the only reason I gave this place a 1 star was because there were no option for a zero...

I did the murder mystery. Lots of fun. Food was great. I plan on coming back.

Omg this was the worst! I am still sitting here an hour and a half in and no food or water. This place has no heat!!! We r frozen! Can't feel my fingers or toes! Ridiculous! Save your money! Serious amateurs!

We were given two general admission tickets to a two hour muder mystery dinner and selected Sanais in Jersey City as our location.

Positives:

1. They honored the groupon voucher even after the expiration date listed. They said it's their policy to do so.
2. The actors were good and the pacing of the show was nice! (Funny as long as you like phallic humor, race related jokes and other typical go-to stand-up topics).
3. The location was easy to find and parking next door was only $10.
4. The mystery was solvable, but spend your fake money for clues quickly! There are only three rounds to ask questions and we saved our resources too long.

Negatives:
1. Food was mediocre. It was not bad, but it certainly was not good.
2. There was a $5 service fee per person even if you ordered nothing beyond what your ticket included. This was announced up front, so we ordered drinks, since we'd be charged anyway, The Gin & Tonics were $10 each and very watered down.
3. The pictures they took at the door with their props were $20 and they weren't very good. They were 4x6 regular quality. Don't both upgrading your ticket for the picture!
4. The lighting in the room was poor, so we couldn't take any of our own pictures easily.
5. They tried to up sell us on premium seating. Every seat was of similar quality and even with our general admission tickets we were table 1, had an audience role in the performance and interacted with all. Again, a money grab that was unnecessary.
4. Overall for 2 drinks and parking, we spent $40 of our own money on top of our gifted groupon ($64). This event was worth maybe $50 tops, but definitely NOT $100, and I shudder to think what "full price" would have been. Better to go to Applebee's and then see a movie. It'd be cheaper and higher quality food and entertainment.
